Anyone been in JoAnn's this weekend? I had several coupons and was going to buy some fabric. Line was so long to get fabric cut I decided not to wait. Someone told me they had been waiting for over 30 minutes and were still waiting.
Then I decided to get a couple of rulers and other notions.
Got to the check-out and the line went all the way back to the middle of the building. Put my stuff away and left. It was very frustrating. Anyone have this problem this weekend?

my joanns doesn't do lines for cutting, they do numbers, you shop until they call your number

They always seem understaffed to me... I bet this weekend people were getting costumes finished up, maybe thats why they were so busy.

Yes, the Joann's that I shop at has the numbers too - the first thing I do is grab a number - then I shop - usually works out just right.

I was in Joanns yesterday (friday) around 5pm and it was empty. Went back this morning at 11am, was busy. The cutting line was long. Did somemore browsing until no line. Out of the store in 30 minutes. That's record time for me!

Yes people getting material for holloween costumes!

I always get my number than my fabric so I do not wait in line.

Standing in line to check out can always be a problem with they are short staffed, especially on holiday weekends or if they have a sale going on.

I was there too, the line was really long. They said it was because of people making Halloween outfits.

Going tomorrow and can always expect long lines, short on staff and it is a small store. I start asking others in line what they are making and the conversations make the time go faster and you leave not so frustrated.

Not this weekend, but most any other day. I just don't like that place and no one else I know does either. They never have enough cutters or helpers and they can't answer questions either. Wish there were other places to shop for fabric and stuff.
