So this afternoon I'm home with the 18 year old and the 8 year old. I was really tired after staying up late chatting with someone on here who shall remain nameless.:) I decided to lay down and watch some TV for a while.

Apparently I fell asleep for a power nap. I woke up a short time later and went downstairs to switch the laundry again. As I walked into the kitchen I realized something was wrong. Ever get that feeling??? I couldn't put my finger on it at first. Then I realized. The entire kitchen was covered in this fine sheen of white powder. There was some on a few of the counters but it was all over the kitchen floor as well as it had been tracked to the back door and the garage door.

I open the garage door and it looks like a snowstorm just on the other side of the door. My mind is still in a fog and I just cannot place what the heck is going on.

I call my 18 year old down and he pretty much has the same reaction as I do. Neither of us have a clue.

So I call the 8 year old down. "Oh, yeah, Mom. A bag of flour fell on the floor but it's okay because I cleaned it up." I questioned him on just how he cleaned it up and he showed me both the trash can FULL of wet kleenex balls AND the broom. He wiped up what he could and swept the rest into the garage.

And then, because he did his "clean up" in his sock feet, he managed to track it both to the back door AND all the way up the stairs to the playroom.

But it's OK because he cleaned it up:)

Anyone know how to remove flour concrete from tile grout??? ;)

    Gotta love those kids!!!!

Sounds like my entire house... except mine is drywall dust! LOL I've been cleaning for 3 days! Today, I cleaned off the tv, wiped off all the dvds, washed down the shelves in the entertainment center, and then when mopping the wood floor, I looked up and the entertainment center was all dusty again!! grrrrr Will I ever get all the dust cleaned up? Probably just in time to drywall the next room!! LOL

I think that "kids" and "thought process" is an oxymoron. I fear you will have to scrape that flour paste away.

Apply a very wet rag or sponge and turn it to glue? I do love the fact that he tried to clean it up and didn't wake you up!

It's funny because as soon as he told me what it was I burst out laughing....in his little mind he took care of everything...........as he walked away my 18 year old said "boy I'm sure glad it's YOU here that found that and not Dad" ;) I was just so grateful that it wasn't powdered sugar!!!
