Oh, scarves are easy. Socks are harder.

Afghans are just wider, longer scarves. I would suggest a few scarves and an afghan in different patterns. There are thousands of free patterns on the web, really nice ones on Lion Brand yarn site and Project Linus website.

This is a great idea! I have been using them as cat toys but now they have way too many. I love the dish cloth idea.
