Leather purses
I know this is not quilting, but it is sewing. I have been making leather purses for 2 or 3 years now and I love how they turn out. Most of these are made with my own patterns. I just want to share a few with you today, but I have made more than this. The black one with fringe, the gray with the turquoise and the black with the white butterfly are made from leather jackets. I sew with a Brother machine, the same one I quilt with. I will post more later as I have to resize all the images before I can post them.

Wow! Those are really nice! They look like a lot of work went into them. Hats off to you.....I'm sure leather is harder to sew with...is it heavy? Your machine and you together make those stitches so straight....they are lovely to look at on the bags. I have a Brother 1500S......love the stitch. Is that the machine you use? Good job!

beautiful work. I too get leather that way. I got a woman's 3xl just for the asking. I lined my sons bomber jacket with a womans beaver coat. $10 at Savers. Your work is amazing, and such attention to detail too. Please show us more of your work. We all love to see things other than quilts too. It makes a fabulous holiday gift. I like how you mix the fabrics too. Besides getting more from your leather, they are more personal and definitely one of a kind. Really love them.

Oh my! The first one-navy & tan....why I would knock you down and drag you around the block for that one. I love it...beautiful work. Do you know, I gave Goodwill a navy suede with lots of fringe...never thot about a purse.
