Local Quilt store
DH and I were at our local quilt store today and this young man came up to the counter and said he wanted to buy his Mom a $40 gift card to the store. You should have heard all the ladies gathered around the counter. Each and every one said they wanted him as their son and one even suggested, when he left the shop, he might want to RUN to his car or be tackled by women who wanted the card.

My husband will go to the LQS to buy me gift certificates. The first time he did it he got a similar reaction to the other people in the store and because of that he keeps doing it. Nothing like positive reinforcement!!!

We used to have a special shopping day/hour for the men to shop for their ladies around the time of gifting holidays. Always popular for those who didn't particularly like to come into "this ladies world" otherwise, LOL!

This is a sweet story.
My dh told me to go buy myself a gift...I had asked for a sleeveless, cotton n. gown and said I wanted to know he cared enough.
He said, "Well, I went in 'that place' to buy your footie pajamas that Christmas. I proved i care enough."
He did buy me much needed, footie pajamas for my cold feet...his idea, lol.
He went in Victoria's Secrets asking about them and heard snickers.
I guess stuff does rub off on him,...doggone it

Why do stores like Victoria's Secret think people that are larger than a size 14 don't like pretty lingerie?
That was a sweet thing for that son to do.
I don't think any of mine would - they MIGHT - possibly - think about getting a sewing machine serviced.

I used to ask the same question when I was shopping for maternity clothes. I had a lot of fun with it, I got more than one saleslady to blush when I asked "Don't you know fat people have sex, too?" Lol!
