I read this today and love it. I think it can apply to us and our quilting:

I love her and yes, I've finally reached that "if I am happy, great" point in my life. When I turned 43, my philosophy matured to...for 23 years I was the good daughter and the next 20 good wife and mom...the rest of my life is mine! Of course, the others are not being neglected by any stretch;)!
