The weather today is beautiful! I had the windows open yesterday (to heck with allergies!) and noticed the yucky stuff between the window and the screen. Decided this morning to clean out the windows in the bedroom. I took all the curtains down to wash, cleaned out the wells, washed the windows and dusted the blinds. Went to put the curtains back up as I finished ironing, and I am one tie back short! I have looked all over for it. I guess it went to the land of the missing socks, but now I don't know what to do for a matching tie back.

I hope it decides to show up for you.

Check out all the curtains, it may be connected to one of them with a dryer generated electrical current. Look behind (fronting the windows) of each one of them.

Static electricity has it stuck to the back of the curtain. IMHO (smile).

Did you use a vac and it got sucked up into the bag?
Do you have a large open drain and it went to the big black hole?
It could be stuck on the back of another piece look them all over.
Worse comes to worse make new ones a pair to match and refresh the look you might like it even better. People use scarfs, jewlery and etc, bet you can come up with something special. Good Luck.

I have ironed all the pieces, so I know it is not stuck to anything. I have walked the path from the bedroom to the laundry room at least 5 times, looked in the washer and dryer again, looked at the sides and behind the appliances, looked around the bed (the bed has drawers underneath, so it couldn't get under the bed. I am so puzzled.

Did you check the inside of your washer? Some times small things get plastered to the sides of the washer during the final spin. Mostly, I find small things plastered to the washer wall nearest to the front. Have "lost" socks there. Hope your mystery gets solved.

Okay, now I am red faced! I noticed it was still damp when I took it out the washer and hung it up to dry on the coat hook. I looked on the floor, but did not look up! I was walking by not looking for it anymore, and there it was! I guess this is one of those "sometimers" day!
