My Christmas 2012 Presents
I can't believe I didn't tell you guys what I got for Christmas this year! I got an early Christmas present when my brother-in-law brought my sister home for Christmas. And they did not tell anyone they were coming in from Kansas - just showed up! I was having a family dinner on the weekend and Thursday afternoon, my dog barked that someone had drove in. First I saw my BIL, and then my sister. My mouth just dropped to chest - I was so surprised! But, my extra beds were full so I called my other BIL to see if he and my sister could get a room at his parents for the weekend. I didn't want to tell him why he had to get another room so I blamed my sweet innocent granddaughter of jumping on the bed and breaking it! She's only 4 1/2!! So when this family showed up for dinner, I said I want to show what happened to our bed. Took them to the room and they opened the door and there sat my sister from Kansas, and then there was a lot of hollering and laughing and hugging! You could say that all of us here in PA got a Christmas present from our now most favorite brother-in-law!
The other present that really excited me - Laugh everyone!! We had a very wet fall here - a record breaking amount of rain. My husband was using the lawn tractor and cart to haul firewood from the outbuilding to the house, and was making a mess. Our power had gone out with the flooding and then in October with the Halloween snow. I said I so frustrated with the mud, the lack of electric and moving wood with a tractor, I'd be happy to get a generator and/or a wheelbarrow for Christmas. But it better have a big red bow on it!! I got a big wheelbarrow, he's working on the generator. He loves when he can go to the hardware store Christmas shopping for me.
