I remember reading that someone here loves them and was looking for them. I saw them in the market the other day. If you're interested, I can get you a box and send. PM me.

I believe that was me. Wow, how kind of you! But all I really want to know is who makes them. Are these the heart-shaped chocolate-covered jellies? If you're able to find out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for remembering me!

No, I'm sure they aren't heart shaped. I believe they were rings. They put them out each year for Passover. I'm actually going grocery shopping in about 1 hr (to stock up in case we get that snowstorm they are predicting!) I'll take another, closer look and get the name of the manufacturer.

The rings are Joyva jells. They sell them year-round in some places, but they're expensive except when on sale around passover. I love them, too. Thanks again!

Yes - just came back from the store and they are Joyva, and I knew that - just didn't think of it at the time. These darn senior moments! I'll keep my eyes open for heart shaped ones, but to be honest, I can't remember EVER seeing them. But then again, I don't think I ever looked! Duh! Do you like milk chocolate or dark? And are the jellies raspberry?

I don't expect you to see them. They were sold in a confection shop, not packaged. They came in both dark and milk, and in raspberry jelly for sure, maybe also in orange and strawberry.

When I asked (we're talking 30 years ago) the shop owners about them, of course they wouldn't tell me because they wanted me to buy from them. All they would say was that they were made by a chocolatier in the midwest. I believe it was a company, not an individual, but who knows. They were sold year round, not just for Valentine's Day (though they were heart shaped).

Anyway, sweet of you to take up my quest!

We have a chocolatier nearby. I'll stop in one of these days and see if she has them. Nothing I like better than a "quest".
