Jim and I were thinking about seeing a display in person, but it is much easier to watch it on television. My sis told me that CBS is having one, and she thinks it is from Boston. Wish I had some watermelon to go with it.

We're hanging out at home... swimming, BBQing, doing small fireworks, and then the big display we can see from our back yard... so we don't have to go anywhere..

Whatever you decide to do, Have a Happy 4th!!!

We are staying home, as usual. Extended family will come for a cookout later in the day and then we will watch the fireworks our community sets off at the HS football field which is just across the field from our house. We have the perfect location for viewing. We will have our Border Collie safely shut up in the house with a radio on...he is absolutely terrified of the fireworks.

We are thinking about going to the firework display at Fort Vancouver, it is the biggest display on the 4th, west of the great Mississippi :D 8) :D It is also the biggest traffic jam when it finishes this side of the great Mississippi    We keep saying one year a bunch of will rent a hotel room on the river to watch and each year we forget til all of the riverside rooms are booked up

We will be staying home. I'll most likely be in my room.

We will stay close to home, maybe go 4-wheeling on the farm , watch some movies, DH will take a nap and I will quilt some. When we had the store, it was a busy day for us and now that we are semi-retired, we love being able to just stay home on days like tomorrow!! :D :D
    Happy 4th Everyone!!

I'll be spending a few hours helping put together the "Meet the Teachers" packets for the So Cal Council of Quilt Guilds MTT meeting on the 11th. (The Council gives one packet, full of quilt teacher/speaker brochures, to each member guild.)
Then, in the evening, my mobile home park is having a BBQ - burgers & hot dogs, salads, etc - and a band, "Patti Stone & the River Rocks". They are a great band, play ALL KINDs of music & lots of fun! Then, after sundown, we sit out front of our clubhouse & watch the fireworks show across the street!

Terri- are you bad that you have to stay in your room?

I wish somebody would send me to my room, I'd gladly go.

We have 2 picnics- first time in ages I don't need to put on the whole thing. Early one- hubby is playing accordian for FDIL's grandmother and then to new SIL- he loves fireworks.

I'll probably make some kind of dessert to take. Can never have enough dessert.
