Because of the extreme cold, we must leave faucets dripping. Now the kitties have decided that it is more fun to jump up there and drink moving water than what is in the dish on the kitchen floor. They do not seem to care that their ears and heads are getting wet while they drink.

Our kitties prefer moving water to still as well....we finally broke down and purchased one of those drinking fountains for animals. They LOVE it...even the dogs!!!

We have a cat that will grab ahold of the water dish and give it a jerk so he can "see" the water. Then he drinks. When we're home (we're sunbirds) we let the bathtub water drip so he drinks from that....saves on our flooring. Wouldn't do it if we didn't have well water. Cats can create such entertainment, don't they.

My cats do that too! Even when I've just put fresh water in their bowl like, 5 seconds before.

We were adopted by a stray that had only gotten water when someone left a hose on or a dripping faucet, so he never learned to drink any other way. We got one of those drinking fountains for him. Did the trick.

That is so funny. Cats seem to hate water, but are fascinated with it.
