This is what we came home to a couple of nights ago. This is one of our two kittens...and they are still semi feral....do NOT like to picked up. As my DH reached down to grab him, he jumped off the porch and that was the last we saw of him. We were sure it would be the last we would see of him...after all, how could he see where he was going? How long could he keep breathing? Well, he sure fooled us!!! Next day when I went to let the dog inside, there was the cat...sitting in his usual spot on the dogs' back!! By now, he was weak enough, and stressed enough, that he let me pick him up. I brought him inside and tried to get the jar off his head. No way could I budge it!!! I have no idea how he got his head in it in the first place!! When DH got home, we wrapped him in a towel, and cut if off him. Thank goodness it was a plastic jar...not glass!!! What a happy kitty!! I don't think we really needed the towel afterall. ;) Mind you, 10 minutes later, he'd had time to recoup somewhat, and no way was he going to be picked up again. LOL

That is one lucky cat - he'd better be careful because he's down to 8 lives now. I worry that my Minnie will do something like that - she can't resist human food or drink left setting.
