Need advice re: baby quilt
#1
I need some advice from the board.
I have a friend that I am making a baby quilt for. Baby boy is due in June.
I got a message today from my friends mom, stating that she is leaving for Philly today, because the baby "may" be coming early....today.
Should I quickly put together the squares into something small for the baby..... if he comes early, I know they will not let the blanket in the NICU, but do you think it would be comforting for my friend?
I am rather conflicted, I can't help but worry for them. 4 months early is never good.
Thanks for any advice you can give. Also, prayers for Baby AC and his mama would be greatly appreciated.

call the NICU and ask. Sometimes they put quilts over the isolettes to block the light. I had a friend whose baby came early, and I called and asked a nurse in the NICU about it. She gave me dimensions for what would go over the isolette and told me that to be allowed in the NICU it had to be washed and double rinsed. Each hospital is different, but it would be worth a call. The nurse thought it was a really sweet idea.

I am still waiting to hear from my friends mom... she was going to call when her plane landed and she was on the way to the hospital.
