I have had both knees and a hip replaced due to degenerative arthritis. The doc says I inherited it and it's in all my joints. I have been having trouble with my left shoulder and the chiropractor tells me he can't help me so I have to go to a specialist to have it looked at. My right shoulder joint is just bearly in place with one tendon holding it. I am just so frustrated and tired of joint problems. I ask the doc what to do to not have these problems and he say to die- not a good option. Thanks so much for any reply.

First of all, this so called Doctor that told you to die, is a jerk......Go to a neurologist, if you haven't done so already...There are lots of medications, exercises, ect., things that can be done to help you manage your pain....I have arthritis, but mine is mostly injury related, and it can be quite painful, but I'm nowhere what you are going through....I wish you the best, keep the faith...

You can report him to the medical society. Even anonymously, it will get attention. I think it is called 'The Hippocratic Oath" - First do no harm.
Personally, I would have stood there screaming and the nurses and office people would have run in to see what was the matter.
The first thing to say to an ignorant comment is "OUCH!" then scream.

Linda, I am very sorry you have to deal with so many physical issues, and the pain that goes along with them. You are not alone. I wish I had answers for you, but it sounds like heredity is causing your issues and there isn't a way for you not to have the problems you do. Gentle hugs, hang in there.

First, go to see another specialist. Chiropractors can be great but their scope is limited. For any complex issues you need to see an orthopedist, better yet see if you can find a shoulder specialist orthopedist in your area.
Secondly, you can file a formal complaint with the American Medical Association (AMA) against that physician. I had to do that years ago for the HORRIBLE bedside manner a surgeon had with my Mom. That formal complaint is still on his record today.
Good luck on getting your medical need attended to the right way!
