I haven't seen this technique before, but it looks easier than traditional CPR: http://medicine.arizona.edu/spotligh...ompression-cpr

Wow! I'm going to send this to a friend that's a Firefighter/EMT/first responder and teaches others to be.

interesting...I used to teach CPR Pro for the Red Cross...

CPR seldom works...in 14 years as an EMT, I saw it work ONE TIME...making it worth knowing and trying on all of the patients that went into arrest...it took me awhile when I was a newbie to get that into my head...(called "hero syndrome").

I had an elderly woman on board one time, that pretty much explained it all. There wasn't much we could do for her, she was having chest pains, so had an IV going and we were running like hell for the ER...she reached up, patted my hand and told me, "Honey, I wish you wouldn't worry so, if God's going to take me, YOU aren't going to stop Him." Kind of put it all in perspective...

Thanks for shaing this video, very interesting!

Just completed my re-cert for cpr, and this is the method they are teaching now. They are also making the classes more fun and simpler, as the theory is more people will do something. Something is better than nothing, and as the man stated in the video, "You can't hurt them. They're going to die without any help and nothing is worse than dead."
