Well, while I still have a small amount of battery left, I will post where I disappeared too.
My new power cord that I just got last month died. :( wahhh
Apparently, someone (could have even been me) set my laptop down wrong and bent the plug and it broke...thus I have no AC power only DC power :( I am down to 1 battery as I write this. But don't despair....I still have my DH desk top that I can use...I just don't like using it because the monitor is such that I can't see it unless I tilt my head back and read through my bifocals... a pain in the neck :) So, I will be on but not as much.

Hey, those things aren't cheap either! Hope you find a new one without breaking the bank...

Could you place the desktop monitor on a pile of telephone books or something similar to raise it? I would develop neck problems if I had to read the monitor through the bottom of my bifocals!

I take my glasses off to use my desktop or I have a neck ache.

Give e-bay a try for the power cord. I had great luck (and a really good price) when I replaced the one for my HP laptop.
