We had a Thanksgiving dinner today. Our DD & SIL live in the Philippines so while they are here visiting we do things we don't usually get to do together. We had stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie etc. I was so organized I had everything done ahead of time and a list of things that needed to be done as soon as the first person got home from church.

I was standing in the choir during church and realized I never started the turkey. We had Thanksgiving dinner without the turkey. We do have plenty of leftovers.

Guess I wasn't as organized as I thought I was.

LOL, one year I had to work until 1 pm on Thanksgiving, no big deal right? Got everything all ready, turkey stuffed, all salads done, left directions for DH.

When I got home the turkey was burned black on the top and raw! He turned on the broiler, NOT the oven.

This is so true. We all laughed about the memories we just made and I will never live it down!
