Default Pajamas?

First of all - Merry Christmas to all of you. Tis the season - may all that is good come your way.

I'm sitting here planning for the last push - which sometimes does not come to fruition in time - but it does come! And every year - since that first little baby blessed my life - I find myself making pajamas in the week leading up to Christmas. Those faded photos in the albums will attest to it. I never wanted the kids looking scrungy on the BIG morning.

My children are now 31, 28 and 26. The grandboy just turned 9 months old. And I am making pajamas again. Warm and cozy suits me I guess.

Here's an early one. 1990. Only two out of three. My oldest is missing.

I did the same thing with all the grands! They all got at least 2 new pair every Christmas and one year i made the DIL and son pj's and robes. It got a little crazy around here trying to make pj's for 8 or 9 grands. Love the pic.

I, also used to make pajamas for Christmas - the last year I did it I made 31 sets of pajamas and robes- that was for kids, grand kids, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters. I miss doing it so much and they say they miss it too. Hopefully next year will be different....

I'm with you. Today I made 8 pair of pj's for my family. Whew, Glad that's done, Seems like it's been a tradition of ours for ever. My adult kids and grandkids love it though, thus I keep making them!

my oldest is now 35 and would think something horrible happened to christmas if she didn't get a new pair of pj's to wear to bed on Christmas Eve- it was always the one package they could open early---and wear them to bed
she decided it was her job to provide them for her kids (i still make the grand's some too-but they open the ones from mom )but my 3 adult kids still expect theirs to come from me...i think it's a GRAND TRADITION!

You have inspired me! I've been thinking about learning how to sew clothes. PJs seem like a good place to start. Merry Christmas!

I have 3 daughters, for us it was always nightie gowns. Oh how I miss those days! One year I even made the litle night caps.
