I hope I don't bore people to tears with my progress report. I'm just having so much fun with this. I believe I will stop at nine blocks and I think I can finish the last three tomorrow. Do you think all of them would look okay in flannel with baby colors?

Ducky, they are so cute, job well done, and there will be no tears of boredom, do I have to go there and get tough with you?

Those great embroidery machine designs kind of makes hand embroidery look sad, doesn't it? Your animals are super cute.

Oh, Lisa, I still love to hand embroider! I'm slow as molasses, though, and I thought it would be nice to get a quilt to them before the baby turns 5 years old!

It's just a very basic Brother PE-150. Not fancy at all. The embroidery patterns are from the online store emblibrary.com. I've downloaded tons of designs from them with even more on my wishlist

Thank you everyone for looking and commenting. It makes me feel even more excited about getting the quilt done.

K, I just wasn't sure if flannel would look as good/better than using 100% cotton.....I have a little bit of both in my stash...

    Define 'little bit'!

I think flannel is ALWAYS good in a baby quilt - so cuddly and soft! And I think it kind of ties in with the whole pjs theme you've got goin' on. :D

Oooh, you're right, K! It is a good thing to post these progress reports, huh? I just may need to go out and buy more flannel that looks more like pajamas! You are my muse, k3n!

Beautiful embroidery Ducky -- they make me smile :D

What are you using for stabilizer? The squares look so nice and flat?

Crap, I was hoping, at least can you do it for the next two quilts? They have to be done before the 21st, parents are leaving that day and I hope to send 4 of them back with them and save the mailing before Christmas!
