Im new to paypal..just recently set it up.
Just wondering.....it shows my balance . Does that automatically go to my checking account? or do I need to do something?
Also---Do they keep a fee? I noticed its lower than what my buyer purchased an item for.
Any help would be muchogracias!

There is a fee for selling on each transaction and you have to request that the money be transfered to your account.

Money stays in your PayPal account until you transfer it elsewhere. Yes, the deduct a fee. You should be able to see transactions which will show you amount paid in, PayPal fee & amount you get.

If you opt for the Paypal debit card it goes on immediately and you use it like your check cards.

Paypal fees differ. If you are sending money to a friend or relative for a personal reason, it does not charge a fee. But it also doesn't get any buyer info either, if that makes sense.

I find the fees to be reasonable. There is a Paypal Donate Button on my website, and a paypal account connected to the rescue and the rescue bank account. When there is money in that paypal account, I can pay vet bills or food with the Paypal debit card, or transfer the funds to my bank.

I appreciate that they have a pretty secure system, and that they mediate buyer/seller disputes. I have only had to use this one time, but thought they did a good job figuring out the issues.

Yes, Paypal is quite secure. I've had it for a long time now.
If you sell a lot the fees add up but it's cheaper than a brick & mortar store.

I just move money from my checking acct to my paypal acct when I make a purchase. It seems easier for me that way and it will show up in my statements when it was moved and such. so pay pal can take the payment out of you bank acct or you cna move it yourself just likeyou can on the bank acct. SAy for example, you buy a pattern or fabric online and want to use your paypal acct. THere is a tab there where you click on the tabe and you can move the money. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I haven't used my acct since I made a purchase on an item. Huggies, Fay

you need to read their policies for those answeres! you really should have known those things before linking to your bank account, there are lots of security issues if you do not take proper precautions. please go back to your pay pal account and read the policies and rules and fees and linking accounts.
and no, the money does not (automatically) go to your bank account, you have to go to your paypal account and transfer it, and it takes 3-5 days for the transfer to take place.
