The fabric is not available at this time and that helps drive up the cost

I have to say if Mountain Dew fabric was ever available, even for $13 per yard, I would just have to get enough for a quilt. My name is Kat, and I am a dew-aholic.

You have to remember, too, that CocaCola stuff is HIGHLY collectible. That's probably who wants it, a collector, not a quilter.

I watched on Pickers the other day where they were talking about Coca-Cola stuff being so hot.

Ebay is crazy. I wanted to get a toy called Fashion Plates for DGD. Her mom had it and loved it. They have a number of them on Ebay and they are going for $30- $50. OMG. I won't pay that much for them.

It might be a Coca-Cola collector. An item like that is a crossover so it isn't just sewers who would be interested in it.

And why do bidders start bidding at the beginning of the auction, raising the price, instead of waiting to the end?

If they had a nice Purse or Tote sold providing they could find this fabric for $45-$50, paying a good price for a yd of fabric doesn't sound bad. Or maybe to complete a collection from thsi line? Be glad they have the price up there. And about bidding on items when they are first listed, to jack up the price...Wonder if it is the seller doing this? It irritates me if I am wanting to bid on something.
