Why do so many not want to let it be known where they live or at least the state they live in?

Also, some folks participate in secret pals and swaps and don't want the postmark/location to give them away.

Also, this is a public forum. If you put your personal information on here, anybody on the internet can find it and you! Do a google search on your user name and any comments that you have submitted will show up in the search.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought this way.

It would be nice to know at least what state they're in, but I completely understand people wanting to maintain a certain level of personal security. It's a wild, crazy world and if it makes them feel safer "in hiding" then more power to them :) For my part, I like folks to know where I am in case they want to hook up with a local.

I agree -- it drives me nuts, too. And I understand the reason --- but the funny ones are the ones that say "in hiding" and in the intro say where they're from!!!

I'm in Maryland. If someone tries to find me I figure they can do it without QB. It is fun and more interesting to know where people are. But those who want the security that's their choice.
