111 degrees here today!

Low humidity so it wasn't as bad as it could have been for the area. It sure was a scorcher day. The kids are coming over tomorrow to spend the day to swim. I checked tonight and the pool water is like warm bath water. Ha. I bet they all pile up in the LR and watch movies and eat all day. It will be a good day!:)

Have a great day. stay cool.

It has been hot here also. We get a few days a little cooler than right back to hot. Humidity has been low, a little more today. There was a bit of fog this morning. I'm not a hot weather person, looking forward to fall. Enjoy your company.

I heard from my SIL back in KS & she said it was hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk there, too! Here in WI, it's been miserable (for us -- we're used to cool). This summer has just been nuts! I wonder what winter will be like?

Cindy60545 08-01-2012 04:06 AM

It was 106 here yesterday. low humidity, but still a scorcher! They say we might drop below 100 next week...to the upper 90's! Is it fall yet????

jitkaau 08-01-2012 05:36 AM

Not too sure which is worse.I used to live in a place that hovered around129 degrees in the summer (should have realised when I arrived in the winter and it was 68 degrees and everyone was wearing fleecy jumpers). Now I live in a place that hovers around 19 degrees in the winter and gets to be 68 in the summer. Not quite beyond whining about both! Hawaii has a nice climate for me...

It has been so hot (19 days above 100 degrees in July) that when the temperature for the day is below 100 it feels like a cold wave. If only I could bottle up some of this for next winter.
And yes, it is toooo hot to swim! I would never have believed it.

I agree it is too hot (also in STL area). And I know there is nothing we can do about it. I did get out on the deck yesterday for about an hour for some hand piecing! I did that a lot back in June along with dinner outside. Miss those days and looking forward to fall and the cooler temps.

Gerbie 08-01-2012 06:57 AM

Sounds like temp. in my part of the country. We have already had 115 so far this summer, and that was in May. We have had so many 105-110 days so far, to many to count. Our really hot days are normally near the end of July and in August. We are scheduled for 108 on Fri. Have to just stay in under the AC and quilt, lol.

Now Cindy, you must remember dear, you do live in Tex and we don't always have a fall season it seems, or even a spring, at least not out here in far W. Tx. where I live, We just have summer and winter, lol.
