Did anyone see Antiques Roadshow tonight (Feb 28)?? They were in DesMoines and had the most beautiful quilt at the end....I didn't get to see it close enough to see what the design was or hear the description but did hear they said something like $400.00. I felt that was way low! anyone else see it and was I right????

The one in the feedback booth?
Yes, they said $500, it was original 30s fabrics and I think it was way low. Maybe it was very damaged? |
It was beautiful. I have never seen that pattern before. Does anyone know what it is?

I'a thinking it was way low, think there might be a monkey in that business! I hope the gal that had it didn"t decide to sell it. So much work in it plus the history of the civil war.

I'll have to go look at that. Our DVR should still have access to it.
I would agree that even $500 is way low, even without seeing the quilt. |

I thought it was low, too. I even thought the quilt made with old Work or World Relief ribbons was under priced.
|
I thought for sure it was going to be valued at Mimimum $2,000 and thought it would be more! Was shocked at the low appraisal.

When they say "At auction this could bring X$" means there must be someone willing to bid on it.
