Any movie recommendations?

My Netflix queue has gotten so small, I'm having a hard time coming up with movies to rent. Does anyone have any suggestions for movies they just LOVED? We don't like raunchy movies (The Hangover, etc.), I have an almost 17-year-old, so we try to limit drug/sex, and it seems there's almost no getting away from bad language. We love action movies, I like chick flicks and am open to any 'good' movie. I, however, am the only one in the family willing to read subtitles. We recently watched Lincoln, which we enjoyed, and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, which we LOVED! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Shirley Valentine is a great chick flick

The best film I have seen in a long time is Life Of Pi. Beautiful film that will stay with you long after you watch it.

One of my favourites is 'Leap Year'- just a good story.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have Life of Pi in the queue, everyone that has seen it has loved it. LOVED Shirley Valentine - cracked me up and made me want to travel. Leap Year was a cute one too.

The King's Speech. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Red (with Helen Mirren). Apparently I like movies with "experienced" actors.[h=3][/h]

I enjoyed Silver Linings Playbook and am still thinking about it's message.

Try some of the series on Netflix. DH and I loved Doc Martin, watched them all. Several months ago we finished up rewatching the entire West Wing series...such a good show, and we were amazed at how many of the issues are still current right now.
