I spent many an hour playing with my paper dolls. My mother saved everything so I still have mine packed away in their boxes with paper separating them. I have several of Betsy in my collection.

I played with Betsy McCall dolls for the first 9 years of my life. The good old days. Thanks for the memories.

Oh my gosh ! I remember my Toni doll. I think she was the first doll with hair you could curl. My Nana made complete outfits for mine and my sister's dolls. She even made school uniforms like we wore to Catholic school. What fun memories !

I am going to start a new topic on the non-quilting tab for my answer to this. That way it won't be under Betsy McCall but 'Spoolies and other archaic tortures" :-)

Thanks for these memories! I love that there is a site where we can still have them and share them with our Grandgirls! Delightful! Remember she had a little dachsund named "Nosey" I think?!

My mother had a subscription to McCalls and we could hardly wait for them to come to get the paper dolls.

Do any of you out there remember the paper dolls, and having fun spending lots of hours playing with them also?
Happy Quilting!!
