December is lots of holiday of parties, so we need all the help we can get. The weather should cool down so we can get outside and exercise! So I thought a good FQ theme for December would be white and black. This would make a beautiful quilt with maybe a bright added in? So I think it is the month we should try to renew our commitment to weight loss and our health We need to get ready for holiday season. We are all so used to doing for others. Remember sometimes it is ok to put yourself first. So lets see how we can play with some your choice of FQ's. Please send quality fabric that you would want to receive in return. As always if you don't have the theme, send what you have. If you don't have a FQ, then send a linear 1/4 yard. If you have signed up to be in the running for the prize, please send your FQ to the hostess by the 15th of the month. As the winner has worked hard for her prize.

Eat healthy, exercise, make wise choices and lose weight but most of all have fun!!!

Sign up deadline to be a part of the PRIZE adventure November 4th at 9 pm cst. You are encourage to contribute to the thread even if you are not in for the prize.

To let me know you are participating post on the thread and then send a PM for the mailing address. Our FQ theme for December is black and white.

I'm in again for December. You already have my FQ. :-)

I'm back. I just posted in November that I need to deal with those 6-7 pounds that sneak back on so easily (again). This thread is has been a help to me in the past. I was collecting black and white prints to make a quilt a summer ago. I don't have enough so if I win, I will. Works for me - drop the pounds and win enough FQs to put together a quilt in time for the Cystic Fibrosis auction. I already have the red for the centers and a red rose print for the backing.

I am a stress eater and December can be stressful. Biggest stressor; I have 47 family members on my list and very few ideas.

I'm in for December.

Here we go again! I am with 7 lb to go and weight to maintain at that level. Best wishes for December weight loss Irishrose2. I hope you win that black and white FQ stack.

The funniest thing is that I don't do black and white. It doesn't work with my coloring, but I'd like to do the quilt where you you fold one square and it comes out in the center of the other squares. I think some call it a mock cathedral window, but I don't really see it as such. It would be great for the CF auction as '65 Roses' is part of their name for the dinner/dance. My red has muted black roses.

Anna, I'd like you to win. Meeting your goal is such a awesome feeling - I want it for you. That being said, I will give it my best shot to lose those same seven pounds. Today is the first, so I am getting healthier and losing weight!

I guess we have a competition this month because I want those b/w's for myself!

ILoveToQuilt 12-01-2015 05:36 PM

Please count me in for December. I still have some to lose, after already being down 25 lbs since July! Yay me! I am 20 pounds to goal. :( I know I won't make this for Christmas...oh well...

I would love, love, love those b/w's! Just my colors...

Thanks!

How funny - so many of us wanting the B&W's. I've only recently considered starting to collect them for a future project.

Irish, I agree with someone on the previous thread - draw names. Even if I gave $10 for each gift, I can't afford it! Best wishes on that sweetie!

Oh, and I'm IN for December! I'm looking at is as a practice run for the 'real deal' that starts Jan 1.

love to all

I don't mind having my Christmas list - it's just a side effect of having 5 children. The thing I mind is having to make decisions on what to buy. I'm going to start with some easy ones today just so I feel like I have a handle on it. Actually 5 1/2 are done so I have a small start. Several of my children don't need anything so they are always a problem, even if it's a nice problem. I also have two December birthdays.

The rain has stopped - turned to snow - so I can go walking today. I had a good yoga class last night. No newcomers so J didn't take it easy on us like he did last week. Not complaining - like he says, we all need a refresher course on the basics occasionally.
