Lincoln does this also but Truman is all about making his nest. This is him in the living room on what is normally Lincoln's couch. The blanket next to him is what he was working on the 10 minutes or so prior to the picture. Before he started it looked like the one on top of the couch. Folded in half and nicely layed down.

He spins and digs, spins more and digs more and next thing you know a couple more spins and he flops down.

He is not picky - he will use the dog bed in the family room, the blanket like you see here - well any blanket actually - and of course the quilt on the futon in my sewing room when I am in there.

Do your dogs do this?

I think the flash woke him up on this one.

I have one that cannot sleep on a flat surface. It must be fluffed and messed up!

I would love to see your Jack/Beagle mix. When we got Truman we were told he was a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) like Lincoln and we went with it. Of course now we know he is not and we think he is a Jug :)

I only had one beagle who didn't nest. He had been abused and I rescued him... had him 15 years! The others had to ball up anything that they intended to sleep on. Just moved and will hopefully have another dog very soon.

Molly, my poodle does this all of the time. I thought it was just normal.

My dog doesn't but my dads does. It's so funny to watch her.
