Several months ago I put one of those softner dryer bars inside the dryer, it stuck like it was suppose to and lasted for awhile. Now its months later and I still can not get the results of that empty bar lose and out of the dryer. Someone must have a answer for me. thanks...

I had the opposite problem. My bar wouldn't stay on! My DIL did however pull a previous one off (by mistake--she had never seen one before)--I'll send her to your house

You might could loosen it with fingernail polish. I know it will take off super glue.

Why not call the 1-800# for the company that made the dryer bar that made the dryer bar. Surely they can tell you how to release it! :)

I used them years ago ... and quit, as I didn't like the residue that was left behind, and figured I'd have to put it in a different place each time.

That is so funny your DIL pulls yours off and you also had problems keeping it on? Duh I don't know what company or name product this even was, guess I go visit the nearest grocery store and read up on any dryer bars there?

Yes, I had put the grandkids coats in the dryer because they had been out in the snow and were drenched from head to toe. When she came to pick them up she gets the coats and the dryer bar! It also left some of the sticky tape on that for the life of me I can't get off. It hasn't affected the clothes but it bothers me everytime I dry a load of clothes. I tried to put a new one in -- in a different spot but for some reason the new one wouldn't stick! Go figure!

If it is sticky like the double sided tapes I would try WD-40 first in a cold dryer. I imagine that part of the sticky is from the heat of the dryer and you may never get it off....

Boy that tape on that darn bar must be better than super glue!! Lets hope someone knows how to get this out and cleaned up. I have not tried the nail polish yet, waiting to see if anyone dealth with this issue with a postive outcome. I did not try and 2nd bar after what happen with the first one..Its not in the way but makes me mad every time I use the dryer, I try and yank it out of there...

Be VERY careful using WD40 and nailpolish remover ... flammables!

The heat from the dryer after may result in a fire.

I'd start by trying to scrape it off by forcing a knife to release it.

I also had this problem I used it on 4 loads and did not like the results. I tried to get it out had to have DH pull it off and we had to use goop hand cleaner to remove the flim left behind. Then had to wash the area very well to make sure all was gone. I will not ever use anything like that again.
