Just got this from a family member who is with a police department.
Warning...do NOT share so many pictures online, anyone can find you that way today. Just a week or so ago I found a lady's picture on my FaceBook, but had never met her but had written to her on another health forum. She had never sent me a picture, so FaceBook had been able to access my account to get her picture from one of HER accounts. http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/video?id=7621105 |
Thanks for the warning!

anytime you "allow" access through the various Apps, you are also allowing them to get all your information, such as your friends, your pictures, your email etc.
I have all my setting changed and I don't use any of the cutesy apps (farmville, pokes, blitz, etc....) |

Scary. I was on facebook for almost one day. I didn't like it and closed it out.

Well... this isn't just an issue with Facebook... it sounds from the news clip that it affects many other sites as well when you use particular cameras :(

My camera is not GPS encoded (it's too old!)...and I don't use a cell phone other than to make a telephone call, so I hope I'm safe.

Facebook is so scary, people share way too much information, and everyone can read it. I have an account but I have my wall up, except for friends and even then I don't put much out there.
What ever happened to calling someone or meeting for coffee to keep up to date on happenings in our lives. (Old fashion, huh!) |
