My DDIL gave me this bromiliad for Mother's Day about 5yrs ago. It had a flower on it at the time, but after it died, the plant never bloomed again - until now! It is actually on one of the "babies" that grew out from the main plant. This flower is as big as my hand and so pretty. Just had to share.

I have many of those.. when a new baby grows you cut it off when it becomes half the size of the mother. They like Morning sun. You should get a new flower every year. Mine are blooming too. I just love them too.

VERY pretty! Bromeliads are very neat plants (and somewhat unusual) in the wild. Thanks for sharing.

They are so Cool! I had one a very long time ago! And I think they only Bloom once per plant so thats why its on the Baby one! Your so Lucky!!!
I just got a Plant called a 'Pinapple Lily' because its so strange looking. I like them like that!
