In the instructions it says it backstitches, but doesn't tell you how to accomplish this. Also having a problem putting in the light bulb. Can't turn it. Is there a special way of doing this?

Not positive, but I think you just put the stitch length regulator all the way up. I have not used an older machine in a while, but that's my 1st instinct.

Do a Google search and you'll find both answers quickly. You can also find the instruction booklet online, I believe. The light bulbs are a real pain to put in, in my opinion. If you lift up the stitch lever, you'll sew backwards.

Hi Ann, there's a little lever on the right front of your machine for changing your stitches per inch, just raise it all the way up to go backwards, then lower it back when you want to go forward again. Hope this helps you. JoAnn

Featherweight light bulbs do not screw in. They use the other kind with the little bump on each side (bayonet and socket). Take the bulb and put it in and turn it toward you until the little knobs enter the correct position. To remove it turn it towards the back. It's not too difficult once you understand what you are trying to do. Let there be light!

I know I just can't get it to turn.

Thanks, will try that as soon as I get the light bulb to turn
