There have been a few posts about Pfaff Sewing Machines lately, including one post that said Pfaff had been bought out by another company.
We took my 7550 machine on Wednesday all the way to Birmingham, which is 3 hours away, and waited for the complete service and diagnostics. It was quite a trip. There was a whole list of adjustments and things out of sync, but I did not need to replace the motor. He also replaced a part in the foot control. He said it should sew like new now and that is good. I did have to pay for an expedited service, plus about twice as much as I usually pay for standard cleaning and oiling ... but it was worth it. I asked specifically if the company had been bought out and they told me no. I kept asking and they kept saying no. So, I don't know where that rumor may have come from. For those of you who own Pfaffs, take the time to find a reputable repairman ... they are not all the same. I had paid for a new foot control several years ago ... only to find out this time, that the old pedal was just glued and I never was given a new one ... although I paid for it!! Others will charge you for cleaning and then just blow it out. Wrong ... hurts your machine. Best of luck with your own machines! |
I totally agree! I also learned that just because a Pfaff dealer has a repairman in their shop, does not mean that said repairman is Pfaff trained! I learned that it was worth the drive to the "real" Pfaff repairman.

I love the dual feed of the Pfaff. |
I love my 7570 and just had mine serviced last Dec. I hate to admit it but it's the first service since I bought it in 1999. It runs just as good as the day I brought it home brand new. I also talked to my dealer about the mother board if it should go out and he said they are still available and fixable. Thank goodness!

I just sent them an email and included a copy of the link and said I had no particular offense but thought they would like to be passing out accurate information. We will see if they answer or not ..... but I am grateful for the correct info. Thanks again.
