During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness,

the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane,

a bear smelled it.

This is what the bear did to the plane.

The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him

2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic

He was able to patch the plane together...and fly it home!

Alaskans are very resourceful (spoken by a former Alaskan). I bet the pilot and fisherman are just glad they'd already vacated the plane before the bear arrived.

So versatile! Make a prom dress/tuxes to fixing your airplane. Here we thought McGuyver made it up.

Amazing!

Yeah, bears can be darn nasty! We had a bear attack our garbage can last summer....it wasn't a pretty site!!!! From now in, in the summer, I'm freezing leftovers that would normally go in the can until we haul to the dump. We had a neighbor have to shoot a bear that was trying to get in his house! Smart pilot that thought of the duct tape!!
