My MIL goes by “Fishin’ Grandma” to all of the Grand Kids and Great Grand Kids, and she may be happiest when sitting in her little boat out on the lake fishing as much or more than doing anything else. But, when it’s rainy or cold, she also enjoys crochet, knitting, and quilting. She’s made quilts for several of us in the family (and I don’t think any of them have fish on them), but she’s first and foremost, a “Fisherwoman”.

I’m wondering how many other lady quilters on here enjoy fishing as much as quilting?

I LOVE to fish too! Dont get too very often, but once a year we go trout fishing up in the mountains. But this year,,,not so sure due to all the fires. We dont even know if our favorite place is still there. Very bad here in Arizona. Need rain!

Normally I take my 81 yr old Dad fishing several times a week after I get off work...so far this year it's been rainy or too blame hot to sit out there. We haven't even gotten to take our pontoon out since it's been raining most weekends.

Soooo yep, I love to fish every chance we get.

I'd much rather go "catching" than fishing. Anyone can fish, but not all can catch. So, if I were to bet on the odds of fishing vs. quilting, I'd have to say they would be better with quilting.

I love fishing especially when DH takes all the kids and leaves me at home to quilt.

I love to fish...my Dad and I always went. In the winter we would tie jigs and make sinkers for fishing.
