A radio station in my area used to do "simple pleasures" once a week. The DJ and weather/news people would say their simple pleasure and callers could call in with theirs. It was fun and inspirational. Let's do it. Maybe one non-quilting related and one quilting related. I'll start ~
1. smelling honeysuckle (10 - 12 times) while riding motorcycle last night 2. looking at all the wonderful creative quilts on this quiltboard |
Smelling dinner when you come in from the garden and open the crock pot.....yum.
Smelling the baby when they come out of the bath.... |
Nice moments.
Hugs and kisses from my grandchildren Seeing the blooms on my rose trees |
smelling the lilacs in the spring!!
Talking to my grandchildren on the phone!! |
Finishing a project
Smelling fresh mown grass |
having a popsicle on a hot hot day
having a picnic under a shade tree picking a bunch of violets or lillies of the valley eating supper in he canoe on the pond by ourselves |
The smell of a baby.
The feeling when learning a new quilting technique. |
opening the windows in the spring to hear all the "nature" noise
sitting on the deck chatting with DH having DH call just to say "I love you" (the best one) sometimes seeing the full moon set in the west when I go to work on a winter morning (did you know it goes down and looks as big as it does when it rises!) |
An ice cold Dr. Pepper on a hot, muggy day.
|
The feeling when your child gives you a random hug followed by I Love You.
Picking out the perfect fabric for a patter you fell in love with! |
