The very firt time I held my granddaughter Chloe.
Waking up in the early morning to the sound of singing birds. The crashing waves at the Outer Banks NC |
crawling between freshly line dried sheets and laughter in my love ones eyes.
|
the smell of bread baking, then eating bread still hot, right from the oven with honey and real butter.
Lying awake in the morning not getting up for an extra 5 minutes, espec. in those line dried sheets under my favorite quilt |
the grandkids yelling "grammy's home" when i walk in the door.
hearing dh ringtone go off / and him snoring next to me having a washer & dryer... (did the wash, including diapers in the tub years ago, we were so broke!) having the car start on the first try ( haven't always had that either) having heat & hot water on demand... this old house has some issues with that occasionally |

Smell of puppies
reading all day long listening to the birds and looking at my garden kitty on my lap checking out quilts on the board looking through my quilts giving a quilt and seeing the reation sewing with friends on Thursdays taking a drive with my DH sitting by the water and reading w/DH |
Cool breeze of spring, the first snow of winter and the colors of fall.
The love of a great husband and three children. The comfort my dh and I feel with each other, even after 42 years. Looking forward to tomorrow. Being with friends. Having time to quilt and enjoy my hobbies. Having the opportunity to chat with all of you on this board. And most of all thank God for all the above. |
