anticipating the birth of my first grandchild and her daddy's smile

seeing my husband enjoy living after fighting pancreatic cancer, and WINNING!

every day i wake up

hearing my son has a play being produced in nyc!

the gentle breeze that's tickling me as i lie here

Having a day where you can do anything or nothing that you want to do.

-the smell of impending rain in the spring
-making my bed with sheets that have been dried on my clothesline
-holding my pet bird and stroking his feathers
-sitting on my deck swing watching the squirrels

1 Walking and looking at the non-bearing fruit trees. My prayer time.
2 Fishing, even if they don't bite, just looking at the water and birds.
3 HUGS from my GK's.

the fresh smell of spring - the fragrance of peonies in bloom, or the roses! so refreshing.

Fabric shopping and lunch with friends
Unexpected hugs and "I love yous" from grandsons
Wild roses
Just mown lawns
Being newly retired so I can easily help anyone at anytime

My youngest daughter's goodnight kisses on my eyelids.

Watching cool teenage son and his equally cool friends sitting at kitchen table helping little sister colour her pictures with crayons.

Driving along with the sun warming deeply into my ear.

The smell of fresh cut ginger

Having a mother/daughter day to celebrate daughter being
cancer free for 3 years

When DH answers the phone and one of our grandsons says"I
need to talk to MaMaw"

That special look shared with DH when no words are nessary

Our small country church and the flags placed in the cemetary today by the children.

The look of surpise on my friends(who in going through chemo)face when she opened the quilt I made for her.

Being a member of a great quilt guild.
