Those handy scraps of batting!
This evening I was out of the Swiffer dusters that I usually use and I really needed to get the house ready for company tomorrow. I tried dusting with a batting scrap sprayed with a little Pledge furniture polish. I am impressed, I think batting works better than Swiffers. And the scraps are free! Do you have any other ideas for batting scraps

I have used them in the past as face scrubbers.....lol
In an emergency, it works. |
I keep them in my quilt room for picking up lint and dust and threads, they work really good, when they get real dirty, i pitch them.
I use the really small stuff and kinda chunk them together in a handful. |
I join my smaller pices with a zig zag stitch to use on smaller projects like placemats or hot pads. The very little strips I snip up to use for stuffing small projects like pin cushions.

I love the idea of using the scraps for dusting..

Yes, thanks for the post. Wonderful idea. Must try this.

I used batting scraps to make a pillow for my dog's bed.

I use the 100 percent cotton batting scraps to clean my dogs ears. Floppy ear dogs are prone to ear infections, so keeping them clean and dry is a ritual .

My puppy's favorite toy. LOL I keep them and all the little scraps/trimmings/snippets in a basket by the machine and use them to stuff dog/cat beds. I am amazed at how much of this stuff I manufacture!!! Anything a couple inches square and bigger is put in another basket for when I feel like making a small project like a small purse, wallet, or something like that. I don't through anything away that started out as fabric, thread, or batting!!
