I'm not a big sports watcher, but I do usually watch the Super Bowl. A few years back I realized that it's mostly the commercials that I was paying attention to, so now I have my own tradition for SBS - I sew during the game & stop to watch the commercials!
This year I have a couple of blocks I've commited to donate, so those I'll do first, then I'm working on my Challenge Quilt for my Guild's quilt show in May. The quilt show is "The Artist in Everyone" & the challenge theme is "Show Your Colors" (or something close to that!) I have the quilt planned out in my head - now to get in done in fabric!

When is Super Bowl Sunday?

I don't watch the super bowl either but I do love the commercials. I figure this year will be just like any other day sense my DH has to work. I will be chasing my 3yr old and trying to stop my 14 an 16 from fighting and killing each other, all while dreaming about the quilt I need to finish, the curtains I want to make for the kitchen and the next project I would love to start.
Oh well!!!! Some day????

It's this Sunday.
Our church has a big family party with a huge screen set up for the game and activities for all ages and lots of food. DH is helping set up and will stay and watch the game. (this is the only sports game he watches all year, unless one of our kid's is participating)
A couple of my LQS's have great sales on Sunday. I am still trying to decide if I am going to join the crowds and shop (I really don't NEED fabric, I just want it) I may just stay home alone all day and sew. My son will be up here for the weekend and I imagine he'll join his dad. I may go over there for a short time (It's basically down the street and across another, walking distance) Havn't decided yet.

I know I will not be watching the Super Bowl...and I hope I will be working on my watercolor quilt, if the kit comes in tonight or tomorrow. But I've told myself I have to get the house cleaned, groceries bought, and clothes washed first. Talk about motivation! Then again, I do live by myself ... so who cares if Idon't get that stuff done? ;-)

I plan on getting all the "game food" ready ...setting up everything...the kicking back and enjoy the afternoon of being able to sew because everyone else will be occupied!! I enjoy the game too but I can see it from my machine so its the best of both for me!!

I will for sure be watching the Super Bowl. I don't know who to root for though hehe I am originally from Indiana and now live in Louisiana. I'm thinking about making me a shirt with half colts & half saints :o)

We're going to watch the game with some friends. Frankly, I'd rather stay home and do something quilting-related since I'm not a huge fan of either team, but like them both. Just not really enough to get excited, even though I live in Louisiana!

So, in sum, hang out, eat, and drink a little. Just a little. :)

Sit on the couch with the game on, watch every commercial, eat, and do some wool applique too.

Well, apparently "we" don't have a stake in this years game, so it's going to be very low key. There won't be a moment of football action missed, though...at least by certain male members of my family. I'll catch the commercials :)
