Re Bath...anyone ever use?
We need to re-do our bathroom. This firm looks like an easy option vs. a total demolition. Anyone ever use Re Bath and what was your experience?
i also saw a similar company called Bath Masters.

I haven't use them but I heard from others it was very expensive and the new is put over the old so you still have the old. Ask to see if there are customers in your area that have had it done you could call for a review.

I used bath fitters, yes it was more expensive but I made NO interest payments over 18 months . I decided to use them as I only have one bathroom and they were in and out in a day. Nine months later I started having some separation in a seam, I called and they sent the supervisor of the district , he and the crew came out and totally re-done the whole thing at absolutely no cost to me with no questions asked and no hassle as you would get from most guarantees. It has been 6 years and I am still very happy with the work. I will also say I got other estimates and because there is a window right in my shower no one seemed to know what to do. Bathfitters said they had no problem with it and actually sent their employees to special workshops to deal with old homes that had windows in the shower .They did a wonderful job around the window and I have never had any leaking or rotting like I had before .

I haven't used that company - but when we re-did our bath surround and shower fixtures we used our local builder (we purchased a "surround" and fixtures from Lowes). We circumvented the issue of being without a bath (in a one bath house) by leaving the country for 2 weeks Was lovely coming home to a new bathroom!!

Placing new over old (with its problems) just doesn't seem 'right' to me. (For what that's worth! )

i am tending to agree with you. I did use them in 2000 and was pleased with result but then I sold the houe 18 mos later. I do not know how that bathroom held up and I am not going to ask either.
Might have to get a full re do.

Re Bath put in a showrer for me. they don't put new over the old. They took out the old tub and put in the new shower and replaced the window that was in the wall. they put in glass brick and it is very nice and waterproof. They didn't cost anymore than a contractor and plumber and they were in and out in 2 days. I would use them again in a heart beat. I think it depends on the dealer as re bath is a franchise.
