I wish I could help, but it's been 50 years since I lived near San Antonio. They have all the chains and lots of Mexican restaurants, oriental restaurants, you name it. One of the best Mexican places my husband and I ever ate in was Viva Max!, but I think it went bankrupt. I heard it just moved, but Gene and I could not find it. My DH has been gone 4 1/2 years now, but a seafood fast food place we liked was Barnacle Bill's on U.S.281 and Loop 1604 on the north side of S.A. I think there are other locations, too. Just south of the airport, they have renovated an industrial area and there is lots of shopping and restaurants there.
Have fun on your trip.

Whenever I go to an unfamiliar city I google the city I am going to. Try googling San Antonio restaurants. You should get a good list, and often you can read reviews from the locals as to the quality, price, cleanliness, etc.

Absolute BEST Mexican food restaurant is in San Antonio at the Mexican Market called - Mi Tierra. Great food, great atmosphere, live entertainment, and the prices are reasonable - at least comparedto other places in San Antonio.
Have a GREAT time.
