Sure, I will try to get a picture. Its so funny, one will "scream" at the other one and the other will answer...from far away, and you can see the one flying in. They must be letting each other know where they are!

Yes, please try to get a picture of one. I don't think I have ever seen one.

I did see a blue heron once in Denver. It landed on the roof of the house behind ours and was the largest bird I had ever seen.

Waiting for your pictures.....

I did see a bunch of them Saturday on my drive home from work...so maybe that is a good sign that spring is just around the corner.

No, not early, they usually arrive about this time. We have alot of wetlands here so we see alot of them.
Janet, a blue heron ended up in my front yard last year. He was really sick, and I didnt know WHAT to do.....he had a HUGE beak, so I couldnt just move him or anything. None of the DNR places would help me either.....fianlly found a rehabilitation lady who came and got him. What a beautiful bird, she figured he drank from a poisined stream or something.

Carhop, I think those are the Whooping cranes. They are endangered, no too many around. They stay in Northern Wisconin in the Summer, there is a festival in Neecedah evey fall.

Whooping cranes winter along the Texas coast and are quite a tourist attraction!

Cranes are such beautiful but awkward birds!
