Default Score...my new toys...

I was looking for a large round hand quilting frame this morning on Craig's list. To my surprise one was listed this morning at a consignment store in the next town for 44.00. I called a friend and we went to go get it before someone else saw it. While there after walking around the store twice..and after I found my Quilt frame, a bolt of backing, and a few other goodies...we went down on of the walk ways we first missed...Wow...a spinning wheel...in great shape. I said bet they want a few hundred...to my amazement they only wanted $50.00 - really...my friend is a spinner so she checked it all out. It was in perfect shape, no warping, every thing was there. I picked that baby right up and into the car!!! So excited!!!
I have been wanting one and have been looking but did not want to pay $300-$500 on a hobby that I am not sure that I would like. This is perfect.

She is a beauty! You're going to love spinning. I started spinning a few years ago and it is so much fun. I haven't done much for a few years as I have a toddler so my wheel has been put away for a little bit. However, next year he'll be 5 and not so squirelly so I think I may bring it out again.

I hope you've got room for your next stash of roving!

they also had bags of nylon thread on huge spools for 10.00 - I have never used Nylon thread so wasn't sure if I would use it so did not get. Now wondering it I should. Does anyone use nylon?
