    Score...my new toys...

I was looking for a large round hand quilting frame this morning on Craig's list. To my surprise one was listed this morning at a consignment store in the next town for 44.00. I called a friend and we went to go get it before someone else saw it. While there after walking around the store twice..and after I found my Quilt frame, a bolt of backing, and a few other goodies...we went down on of the walk ways we first missed...Wow...a spinning wheel...in great shape. I said bet they want a few hundred...to my amazement they only wanted $50.00 - really...my friend is a spinner so she checked it all out. It was in perfect shape, no warping, every thing was there. I picked that baby right up and into the car!!! So excited!!!
I have been wanting one and have been looking but did not want to pay Name: aaa.jpg

She is a beauty! You're going to love spinning. I started spinning a few years ago and it is so much fun. I haven't done much for a few years as I have a toddler so my wheel has been put away for a little bit. However, next year he'll be 5 and not so squirelly so I think I may bring it out again.

I hope you've got room for your next stash of roving!

they also had bags of nylon thread on huge spools for 10.00 - I have never used Nylon thread so wasn't sure if I would use it so did not get. Now wondering it I should. Does anyone use nylon?

Wow, Iím so jealous. I never did any weaving, but for some reason on Saturday I bought a discarded library book entitled Step-by-Step Weaving, copyright 1967. Now I have to get lucky and find a loom.

By the way, I also bought a couple of books that a veterinarian must have donated. I now know my dog has canine acne on her chin. Who knew dogs get zits!

I just started my first weaving, loom project. there is alot to it...I am still setting it up. Not easy on a person's back. I think once I get the heddle threaded and start weaving it will be enjoyable. I hope. My Aunt gave me that loom. I have had it upgraded. Just wish I could pay someone to set it up for each project. I hope it gets easier. Now when I see a rug selling for so little I am shocked...cause its a lot of work.

I looked up the Hinterberg Design 29 Homestead Quilt Hoop and Floor Stand that I found in perfect condition. It goes for 260.00 not including shipping. Wow...that is alot...so glad I found mine for $44.00 - I may not end up keeping it after I make my son a King size quilt for his bed.

debating selling my quilt frame. I was going to use it for latch hooking but that will not work.
