Default Shirts for teachers

I'm making some shirts for a lady at my church and her fellow 1st grade teachers. I just finished the front of the first one. Each teacher has a different color shirt. I'm appliqueing their logo (bulldog paw) on the front of the shirts and embroidering the school name. The backs will be like a baseball jersey with a big "1" and the teacher's names across the back. I used water soluable stabilizer which is why the shirt looks wet

Yeah, but its a learning experience. I'm so far not a big fan of embroidery on tshirt fabric. Its so easy to rip a hole in it.

I have found that if I put a fusible stabilizer on the wrong side of the fabric, then sticky stabilizer in the hoop, and a clear stabilizer on the top, everything comes out hunky dory. (Found it on YouTube...sewing with nancy)

What a great idea and I am sure that the teachers will have fun wearing them.
