Here goes: I'm the second oldest of 9 (if you include my 2 step-siblings who's father never actually married my mother but they were together for years).

My mother is passed, but I'm close with my dad and step-dad, though I was never close with my mother.

My step-sister is 2 years older than me at 30 and lives in SW NY with her fiance and 4 sons.

My step-brother is a little over a year younger than me at 26 and living in VT with his girlfriend and new baby.

My 26 year old brother lives in central NY with his wife and step-daughter.

My 24 year old sister lives in central NY with her husband.

My nearly 22 year old brother lives in central NY with his girlfriend.

The twins (Ashley and Kevin-my half brother and sister) are turning 16 in a few weeks and live in VT with their father.

And, the baby, my half-brother is turning 15 in September and living in VT with his father and the twins.

Lol, we ARE a varied family. But, even though they aren't all as close with each other as we were when we were kids, I try to stay connected to all of them. It's just hard with all of our own families.

Both my parents are gone. Dad lived to 72, and mom lived to 98. I am one of 6 kids. three are gone. just my two younger sisters and I still around. My husband and I have 4 children. all grown. Three are married and one is a bachlor. We have seven grandkids, Three girls, 4 boys. Two of them are married so maybe in a few years there will be some great grandbabies while I'm still around. We have one mutt, and my son's Pom lives with us.

Both parents still alive. Both of my parents still have their mothers - one just turned 80 and the other is well into her 90's and healthy as can be!

I have three sisters and one brother. I am 34, one sister is 35, one is 36, and one is 26. My brother is 21. My two older sisters and I were all born in April one year apart. Talk about some busy parents. We used to be close but not so much anymore.

I have a 14 year old daughter and a 13 month old son. I am married but somedays would really like to smack him! My kids are my whole world!

I, too, forgot the most astonishing thing of all: ON AUGUST 16, WE WILL HAVE BEEN MARRIED 48 YEARS. We were classmates and considered (off the record) to be the couple least likely to "succeed." Our youngest daughter married on our 24th anniversary and it's been a ball with our family ever since. We do a lot of family things. Last weekend they were ALL here for the painting party...children, in-laws, most grandchildren, and the two great-grands. We ordered out for lunch. In this family, food is our "top priority." Someone once told me "cook and they will come." Well, they even come for take-out.
