We have a little pond/swamp on the property and within sight of the house. We saw a pair of geese and a crane out there. Our pond is thawing so there is open water. So much fun to see wildlife coming back for the summer.

Speaking of spring critters, yesterday DH called me outside to look at an egg and asked if I knew what kind it was. This was a true egg (bright pink) actually almost neon but duller. Anyone know what kind of bird this could be? Have never seen anything like it before. It is only about the size between a dime and a nickel.

Was going to take down my winter wreath, not, wild canaries building a nest. Will be fun to watch through the window. Also have deer and foxes to watch.

We love watching our birds also! Have 12 pairs of cardinals, 2 pairs of blue jays and innumerable finches, both yellow and purple, titmice, sparrows, and so on. It is a circus every day, especially since 1 mocking bird has decided he owns the feeders in the tree and the seeds on the ground.

About a week ago the Spring peepers (tiny frogs) began their chorus. I Love the racket they make.
