I've been thinking about this lately...with my stash staring at me...
At the rate that I quilt, and the fabric I have in my possession...could I resolve not to buy ANY fabric for a certain amount of time? Certainly I could go a day (lol!). Even a month. But then you get into 3 months...6 months...that's when it starts to make me nervous. Could I go a year? Just talking materials, I bet I could. But psychologically? OOOOoooo...I dunno....
So, I bought a "lot" of cotton thread, just to be safe. I'd hate to be out of thread if I really resolved *not* to buy anything quilting-related....
Anyone ever done it?

Ummmmm......... I guess I could if I got dragged into it. I have enough fabric to last me a lifetime. But........ There are so many pretty fabrics that call my name and so many new ones coming out that just want to join my collection........I think I would go crazy if I couldn't buy any more.

I frequently try not to buy, but haven't been successful. I think I've gone up to 2 weeks without adding something, whether it's a pattern or FQs. :) I'm sure I could make a dozen quilts with what I have on hand.

I haven't bought impluse fabric in over a year or more. I have too much. I know many of you have far more, but for me, it's just ridiculous. I'll never use it and believe it or not, it gives me anxiety looking at it. I've been giving it away little at a time. I had tons and tons of yarn and have been giving a lot away to a group who makes charity items. Seeing all that made me anxious too. I'm at the point in my life where I want less "stuff" around. I have so little time to work on my crafts that I feel it's just plain nonsense to keep all this around.
