those famous pillowcases - love them!

I got bunches of on sale fabric after Christmas at Walmart last year. Some was 69 cents/yard; the most I paid was $1.11. Some of that is turning into pillowcases. The baseball print goes with a quilt I'm making for a grandboy. The other grandboy saw my Christmas cases and loved them, but it's a bit early for those so he went with me to Hobby Lobby today and picked out the Cars fabric for a new case. Fast and fun!

That's his "cheese" pose. It so amazes me - this precious one is the spitting imagine of my son. I have some pictures that confuse him because he thinks it's him, but doesn't know who else is in the picture (it's usually my daughter, but he doesn't recognize Aunt Courtney as a little girl!)

This "spitting image" thing is new to me since both my children are adopted. It was fun to hear people look for "Aunt Susie" in my kids when there was no genetic connection at all. Funny that MY side of the family connected our kids to someone there while my husband's side found similarities to their side.
But ... even this little guy's FEET look exactly like his dad's - blocky little things that would fit the shoebox probably better than the shoe - just like his dad's.
